Myself and the hubby-to-be are both fairly (*ahem*…okay very) competitive, and we like any sort of game involving words. So naturally, we both like Scrabble. B is fastidious about keeping score so there’s none of that “let’s just play for fun” stuff round here, thank-you very much!
I thought it might be fun to make scrabble tiles that spell out our names, and the words ‘love’ (naaaw) and ‘wedding’ (duh) to display in the room we are getting married in, and to maybe prop a few up along the side of the short staircase that leads to the wedding room.
I bought some square pieces of wooden MDF, some matte cream spray paint, and some vinyl scrabble decals. I got mine from a shop called LittleAcornsByRo from (you’ve guessed it!) my favourite site in the world…Etsy.
This was one of B’s DIY projects for the wedding, as he proudly tells anyone who sees them/will listen ;). They’ve turned out really great, and will make a quirky and eye catching addition to the wedding decor. After the wedding I’m sure they’ll be put to good use around the house too.
Here’s some pics; happy crafting!
